The Lalchuda Kadva Patidar Kelavani Mandal (LKPS) is a central social and educational organisation for the Lalchuda Kadva Patidar community, established to promote education and social unity.
Key Historical Milestones
Foundation (9 December 1945): The Kelavani Mandal – LALCHUDA KADVA PATIDAR SAMAJ was formally established after a landmark meeting in Kathor, Kamrej Taluka. The first constitution was drafted and approved by community members to guide the Mandal’s growth.
Visionary Founders: The organisation was founded by community elders with a long-term vision, including:
- Late Nathubhai Bhagabhai Patel (Muldad), who served as the founding President.
- Late Venilal Parshottambhai Patel (Rundh).
- Late Balubhai Kalidas Patel (Sithan).
- Late Kalidas Lallubhai Patel (Chhaprabhatha).
Expansion of Mandals: Over the decades, the community expanded its reach by forming specialised groups:
- Mahila Mandal: Established in 1984, it grew into a significant support network for women.
- Yuvak Mandal: Officially started on 26 September 1991 to unite and motivate the youth in education and sports.
Major Projects and Institutions
The Trust has been responsible for several key community landmarks:
- Krushi Mangal & Uma Mangal: Development of community halls and event spaces.
- Vidya Mangal & Gyan Ganga English Medium School: An educational initiative aimed at providing quality schooling.
