School House System
The house system is traditional feature of the school. Our School is divided into subunits called “Houses” and each student is allocated with one house. House may compete with one another in sports and other school activities, thus providing a focus for group loyalty.
A secondary feature of house system is the competition between houses. For example, the traditional school sports day is usually an inter-house competition. Debate Competition and others are also often organized along inter-house lines. Merit points for achievements are totaled up for comparison between houses.
The house system was devised to promote team spirit and a sense of belonging to the school. Also, this enables the senior students of the school to provide care and direction to their junior schoolmates. The House System provides excellent opportunities for student leadership and peer group support.
Total students are divided into four houses:
There is one Head Boy and Head Girl, each house has a House Captain he/she may turn for assistance at any time. These House Captain work under the direction of House Masters.
